So my church does a thing every year called "Battle of the Sexes" where through the entire month of February, it's guys against girls. In the end, we do a talent show, and last year, I showed King of the Rubik as my talent. This year, I decided to make a video specifically for this night, and this was going to be it. Unfortunately, it came out too long. So, instead, I'm just putting it here for everyone elses entertainment. Also, Guys won!
From "The Nativity Ninja Rebirth" to the present, and to the
future, I've hidden either a can, bottle, or sign about Ginger Ale in
each video. It was only about time before I compiled Ginger Ale into
it's own film, with the edition of the new Gamerboy Media 3D logo!
The
book being read is "Eragon" by Christopher Paolini. The songs played
are "One way or another instrumental" and "Durza" from the Eragon movie. The tune at the end is my own little jingle.
Just like the EM Jewelers video, this was another test run for a new camera. Quality came out pretty good this time.
This is a small video I created to test a camera for another film. Very short, and very funny.
Alright. I lied. This is the REAL last live-action film by Gamerboy Media.
Lied again. I can't go for too long on these sorts of promises.
Saturday
was supposed to be the last, but me and my friend Travis were talking,
and came up with this. That's when I realized that this was a good
movie idea.
I messed with our story line a bit and came up with my own episode of the twilight zone.
And
because the day is right, this film is dedicated to my friend Sarah
(November 30th is her Birthday). She did the voices of Barista number 2
in "The Detectives Revolution" and Sherry in "Candy Hell".
My camera equipment has taken quite a tole over the past year or
so. The tripod mount broke during Get Smarter, the sound quality has
slowly decreased to a point of no return, and in the making of Ryan's
upcoming film "Bounty", which was around the time of the forty-eight
hour film "Te-Beru Tenisu", it took a fall to the concrete, putting a
crack right down the middle of the lens.
Since that point, if the
camera was in direct light of any kind, a blur would appear down the
middle of the screen. I've decided that I don't want to waste any more
good ideas on bad equipment. So, for the time being, I am going to
temporarily stop making live action films and stick to computer
animations. For those who have been watching my videos, you know that that is a complete lie. I realized that it's harder to go without this than I thought it was. Luckily, my friend has loaned me one of his cameras to work with until I can get my own. AWESOME!
A classic Halloween scenario is retold in this episode of Gamerboy media. Reese invites his friends over for a little party on October 31st, when people start dying. Normal for a Halloween party, right?
The following songs are used in the full video: S.O.S. (Jonas Brothers) Innocent (Steller Kart) Bye Bye Bye (NSYNC) Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen) The Potential Break-Up Song (Aly and AJ) Smooth Criminal (Michael Jackson) This is Halloween (Nightmare before Christmas) All the Small Things (Blink 182) Holiday (Green Day) I've Got a Feelin (Black-Eyed Peas) Pop goes my heart (From "Music and Lyrics") and of course, the Monster Mash by the Misfits.
"I have heard all things in the heavens, and in the Earth. I have heard many things in Hell; how then am I mad? Hearken! And observe how calmly I can tell you the whole story."
Edgar Allen Poe's classic tale is back! Check out the Gamerboy Media two part documentary of a madman who, like all of us, thinks he's sane.
2 years go by so quickly. And soon will this video, considering it's only about 2 minutes. Enjoy it while it lasts.
This is the video that took me one day to complete, but two years to do. Based on the original film "practically invisibility glasses" where I made a simple pair of sunglasses turn you slightly invisible. Now, after two years, I brought it back, along with some other upgrades. That's even the same shirt I was wearing in the original film.
This is the videos I plan to remake from my filming past, and one day soon, transportation hats!
I've had an idea like this for a while, where it starts with one
game, then the game branches into others, but I could never figure out
how to pull it off, let alone what to name it. Then recently, I was
going through our game cabinet and realized we had the new SORRY game,
and that struck me. So I pieced together the rest, and due to camera
failure, had to completely redo the ending. (Don't worry, that's good.
The original wasn't as funny.) I should this to the judges, my sisters,
and they almost never stopped laughing, plus one was quoting it every
time she saw it. And they WANTED to watch it again after they saw it 5
seconds earlier!
Every
year, there is an event called the the "48 hour film festival." Teams
come and sign up in a challenge to create a film in 48 hours with a
character name, item and line included in the movie that was given to
them at the start of the 1st day. Next year, I wanted to enter, so I
got Ryan to give me a name, item, and line, and I made this movie in
under two days.
This is a short film I made originally for a film festival, but turned out I couldn't enter.
And while we wait for Rewritable productions to finish their film, enjoy this solo piece by Gamerboy Media.
See if you can solve it!
HINTS:
- What type of shoe may have made the print, and who wears that type of shoe?
- What person or persons were available at the time of death?
- Which suspect had the most anger.
- Not just anger towards Mr. Body, but all together ANGER?
Because the TV show was awesome, we had to create our own episode. So, Gamerboy Media and Rewritable Productions put their heads together to come up with this. Get Smarter!
You thought that Lego's were no longer GM's style? Well feast your eyes on this!
After months of work and procrastination, it is finally here! Gamerboy Media's First Stop Motion with sound!
"Rolling Stone" says it's the best thing to watch when your either dying or bored! *
* We're lying. They did not actually say that. We just wanted to be popular.
After 2 years of thought, I finally had my mind made up after this year, when we couldn't even fit them all on the tree. I have been wanting to put the ornaments I have to the theme of "Carol of the Bells," so I gave it a shot. This is what came out of the barrel. |
I had decided that the wimpy version of this video I made a few years back wasn't good enough. I made this un-abomination to show up the original. Oh yeah, Merry Christmas from GM! |
In an all new video by GM, we meet the vary valuable message. And I'm not talking about the idea someone got way back when that "Mother knows best." It's "Heaven can be Hell if you want it to." I recently learned that scientists believe that sugar is actually more addictive than cocaine. Not as damaging, but as addictive. This video easily proves that correct by showing the sweats getting a little sour in the video: Candy Haven. |
I recently made this video with my friend ReWrite. I got the idea from my father when he told me about a movie with some strange stalkers. I think it was the sundance kid or something. Anyways, I played the stalker, and ReWrite played the stalkie.
|
My friend Octavio gave me this idea back in 8th grade. He said I should do one where I just moved around and changed shirts with each step. Then I saw the "White Stripes" Hardest Button to Button music video, and got up to this point. Plus, I had just gotten a new camera. It was the end of my terrible DXG camera, and the start of a new relationship with my new Aiptek HD camera, complete with remote control!
I wonder if anyone noticed that the chosen shirt is the same one I wore in the begining. Also, if you look in the mirror behind me, you can see the tripod. |
I finally graduated of middle school in 2008 where I was given my "Certificate of completance" and the award for computer student of the year. Unfortunetly, the two papers and a small medal wasnt worth getting up that morning. The music was good, but the rest was horrible. So as I walked up and shook hands with the demon, I mean Principle, I was thinking of how I would do the ceromony. And once I got home, I wrote it down and got out my old DXG camera for its last run. I came up with this when my family was gone. Mainly because it would bring up too many questions if I had my bike inside.
|
Back in 2006, I was watching a movie by Pixar, and I got thinking about making a new logo. I didnt really have one before, mainly because I just made videos every now and then when I was bored. So I got to work and created a new logo that I then sent to my friends, family, and even a few of my teachers. They all liked it. So as of december 31, 2007, I finished the new logo presenting the new "Gamerboy Media 2008!" I have been trying to make a new logo recently, but I have had little luck.
|
I made this as a sequel to "The Lego Dance" which actually started as an intermission piece for the music video "Life:The Highway." Oh what a tangled web I weave, huh? This one is different because it doesnt repeat, and it has sound, unlike the lego dance. In fact, the original is actually just the small beggining piece with the lego man doing the robot, then disasembles himself and jugles it around and reassembles. Without sound, that was The Lego Dance.
|
I made this as a video project for my computer class. We had to make a powerpoint describing how to do something, and Octavio and I came up with doing one for stop motion. I created this one as a demo for making one in the microsoft paint program. They liked it a good amount, but they didn't get out much that year.
|
This was a small music video I made for one of my favorite songs, "Life is a Highway." The lego dance started out here, but one ting led to another, and it wasnt possible to fit it in. On youtube, it was banned because I didnt have the copyright to the song.
This was back when I had to make my videos with a webcam. yo can tell which ones needed it, because the background is my parents room. This is actually one of the very first videos I made that actually made it to be online. It survived what I called "The Rewritten Incident of 2006." |
Back when I made this, the movie "Live Free or Die Hard" was in theatres, so I came up with this action film. I meant it more to be a Jackie Chan film, where you have hundreds of people against one who uses only the enemies weapons to beat them up, one by one. At some points, it gets a little to fast to tell what's happening, so I tried to slow it down without it being obvious. This was the best I could get.
|
Once again, a moderately good video idea wasted on a bad camera that takes bad pictures to the point where you can barely tell what's happening, and I even lost a small section of pictures, making the ending even harder to understand.
I wanted it to basically be Mario's first time trying to save the princess, but I couldn't get it right. So instead, he fought off Bowser and knocked over the flagpole when he jumped on it. |
This was one is my favorite video I created out of all the stop motion films. So far at least. I wanted to do one that had the theme to "King of the Hill" and I saw a video on you tube about a Rubik's cube solving itself in stop motion. So after Christmas, (When my sister gave me the Rubik's cube) I got out the old DXG and actually managed to make a decent stop motion with it.
My friends all told me that that was how fast I should be doing the logo at the end. Who knows? Maybe I will. |
I actually came up with this idea before I knew they would be doing a fourth movie. I had been getting ideas for movies for a while, so one Friday night, I stayed up till 11 to create this Indiana Jones remake. Its not as good as I wanted, but it was a good idea at the time.
|
I Started this one out with the help of ReWrite. He wanted to get into movie making, but he needed an idea to start out with. I told him about this one, and he said he would do it.
One day crept by after another, and sure enough, he never made it. A few days later, I asked if he would need my help to get started on it, and he told me to do it. So one day after school, we got together, cleared the table, set up the camera, and slowly set the table. He gave up on the project just before the juice bottle came in to serve the drinks. I finished it up, then changed the background song and threw it online to show to my friend Chris. |
Back in 2007, I had some really good friends at school. So when we left to go on winter break, I wanted to send them something nice to say goodbye.
I would have just sent them an E-card, but those never work out. So I got my parents webcam out and the Reliant K music, and came up with this. I sent it to my friends Octavio, Jessica, and Chris. They all liked it. Then I put it online so others could see it too. |
In 2006, I saw a video by PIXAR that gave me a pretty good idea. "Why don't I make my own logo for my videos?" I got to work on a story board and came up with a small video about making the gamerboy media logo.
I thought it would be pretty fast, but it turned out to be around a minute long. So I cut the sound out and used the muted version for in the credits. When I finished the original, I sent it to my friends and they all liked it. (My friends are my way of knowing what goes online and what doesn't.) So on December 31st, 2006, I had my new logo ready to put online at midnight. |
On the night of Christmas Eve, my family goes to our church for the "Candle Light Service." Some find it boring, I'm one of them, but others enjoy the fact that we get to play with fire.
My dad, being the pastor, gives the service message each year. So I wanted to be apart of it with one of my videos. This one was supposed to be about the reason it took the wise men 2 years extra to get to baby Jesus, but it wasn't good enough. So instead, I just put it online to see who else might like it. |
